FAQ
Questions people actually ask
If the answer you need is not here, call or text Daniel — you will get a person, not a queue.
Is this the same business that has been detailing in Chilliwack for years?
Yes. Same shop, same phone number, same people. Jim and Lillian McConnell started it in 1974 and Daniel and Alisia Walker took it over on 1 October 2024. In 2026 they put their own name on it. Nothing about where we are or what we do has changed.
How long have you been detailing in Chilliwack?
Since 1974. It started as a small car cleaning business out of the McConnells' garage, and the first proper shop opened on Yale Road in 1976. Some of the customers quoted on this site have been coming since 1979.
How do I book?
Call or text Daniel at 778-933-1188. That is the fastest way to reach the shop. You can also reach the office on 604-792-0567 during business hours, or send us a few photos through the quote form and we will come back to you.
What does a detail actually cost?
A full interior detail is a flat price by vehicle size, starting at $200 for a small car. Outside, clay bar and wax starts at $250, a machine cut and polish at $450, ceramic coating at $1,199 and paint protection film at $999. All before tax, and condition still changes things — dog hair, scratches, oxidation, road tar, fallout, tree sap and excessive dirt all carry an additional charge. The full sheet is on our car detailing prices page.
Why does condition change the price?
Because a lightly dusty sedan and a work truck that has spent a winter on gravel are not the same job. Rather than quote a low number and surprise you at pickup, we would rather look at the vehicle — or a few photos — and tell you before we start.
Do you do paint correction, or just washing?
Both. Cut polishing takes out swirls, oxidation and a good deal of the lighter scratching in older paint, starting at $450. What it will and will not fix is set out on our paint correction page.
What is the difference between ceramic and graphene coating?
We offer both. Which one we lead with depends on the paint and how the vehicle is used, and it is a two-minute conversation on the phone. Our premium ceramic starts at $1,199 on the paint. More on how coatings are applied is on our ceramic and graphene coating page.
Does the coating go on before or after paint correction?
After, always — a coating seals in whatever is underneath it, so coating over swirls locks them in for years. How far correction goes is on our paint correction page.
Are you mobile, or do I bring the car to you?
Both, and which one is right depends on the job. Interior work, washes, clay bar and wax we can do at your place. Paint correction, ceramic coating and paint protection film happen in the shop on Aitken Rd, because they need proper lighting, controlled conditions and somewhere dry to cure — a driveway cannot do those properly no matter who is standing in it. Tell us what you need and we will tell you which it is. More on our mobile car detailing in Chilliwack.
Do you take trucks, SUVs and larger vehicles?
Yes. Size and condition both affect the quote, so call with the year, make and model and we will give you a number.
Still not sure?
Call the shop. Describe the vehicle. We will tell you what it needs.
